Family Days Out

Award-winning children’s activities and attractions countywide, there’s fun to be had for the whole family.

Here’s a few of our favourites.

If you’ve discovered a great family day out in North Norfolk, please tell us about it so we can share your tips with other guests.

Cromer Treasure Trail

Easy to follow routes take you to the town’s most interesting and beautiful sights.  Answer the clues to solve the treasure trail, at your own leisurely pace. One of more than 50 Treasure Trails set throughout Norfolk. A great way to see Cromer on foot.

Cromer Kart Trak

Pit your driving skills against each other and imagine you’re at the wheel of a Formula 1 car with a day at Cromer Kart Trak. Suitable for children aged 8 and over, with a minimum height of 1.37m.

Pensthorpe Natural Park

Set in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, in the beautiful and tranquil Wensum Valley, Pensthorpe Natural Park is an award-winning mix of meandering nature trails, beguiling woodland walks, and a showcase for British wildlife and nature conservation.  As one of the leading Norfolk attractions, it’s a brilliant place to visit, with beautiful gardens, spectacular wildlife and magnificent adventure play…nature’s way!

Felbrigg Hall

One of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia, the Hall is a place of surprises and delights, a mixture of opulence and homeliness where each room has something to feed the imagination. From the stained glass windows in the great hall to the nodding mandarins in the chinese bedroom; from Queen Mary’s teapot in the dining room to the copper pans in the kitchen. Story boxes for the children help explain some of the history of the house.

Bewilderwood

An award-winning family attraction, Bewilderwood is a wild and imaginative adventure park, with magical treehouses and intriguing characters.

And it’s not just the kids who will love it.  Parents and grandparents can play alongside younger ones, running, jumping, swinging and creating fun memories together. A day at Bewilderwood is possible whatever the weather.

The Pavilion Theatre

A 510 seated venue situated at the end of our historic pier, The Pavilion Theatre is best known for hosting its famous Seaside Special shows, and a quality programme of comedy, music, dance, opera and musicals.  Part of the town’s landscape since 1391, no day out at the seaside is complete without a walk down our historic pier.

Amazona Zoo

Just south of Cromer, this zoo has recently emerged from 100 acres of derelict woodland and abandoned brick kilns to be home to a wide range of exotic animals, including Jaguar, Spider Monkeys and Flamingos.

Hillside Animal Sanctuary

Farm museum with live animal shows and feeding throughout the day.  A certain hit with little ones.

Hilltop Outdoor Centre

Sheringham’s outdoor activity centre is open to the public throughout the school holidays.  With zip wires, climbing, archery, high ropes, super swings, an assault course and mountain biking you’ll experience a day packed with adventure. Full or half day tickets available. Suitable for children 6 and over.

Wroxham Barns

An award winning Junior Farm, complete with undercover piggery and Piggy’s Play Sty, 18 hole mini adventure golf, children’s funfair, and lots of opportunities to feed and groom the animals, Wroxham Barns is a really popular family day out.

Dinosaur Adventure Park
