In August, Cromer was all singing and all dancing as it celebrated its 45th Carnival.
The dates for next year’s Carnival in 2015 have already been released so make sure you put these dates in your diary to ensure you don’t miss out:
Saturday 15th August – Friday 21st August.
Carnival Day will be held on Wednesday 19th August.
For those needing a place to stay we are now taking bookings for that week – at this year’s price – as well as all of 2015, so give us a call on 01263 513 290.
The renowned Cromer Carnival is a spectacular week-long event where on the third Wednesday of August, proceeds through the traditional seaside town. The Red Arrows performed a wonderful mid-morning display, which has been a traditional highlight since 1981. Other acts included the Devil’s Horsemen Cossack Riding who are regularly called upon to provide horse riding stunts in films and the Bolddog Lings Motorcross Display Team who featured on this year’s ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
To celebrate we hosted an evening BBQ at the Forester’s Club, with a fancy dress competition and offered a special Cromer themed menu too which of course included the famous Cromer Crab.
Our sister hotel Northrepps Cottage Country Club Hotel, also got into the spirit of things by offering a Cromer themed menu too and also took part in the waiter’s and waitresses’ race which took place on Cromer Pier on August 18th. The race saw a number of local waiting staff racing from the Pier forecourt and back, carrying a full tray of drinks without spilling a drop! It was very fun to watch.
