North Norfolk boasts miles of beautiful coastlines, small seaside towns and fantastic scenery. And the best way to experience all of this is by simply grabbing your walking shoes.
Walking is great exercise, relieves stress and is a fantastic way to explore our surroundings. This month celebrates National Walking Month making it the perfect time to get up and about on our feet.
Surrounding Forest Park are a number of sandy beaches and coastal villages which are all worth visiting. If short walks are your thing or those walking boots need dusting off, Cromer and Overstrand are only short distances away – practically on the park’s door step! For those who like to be a little more adventurous, why not stretch out those legs and visit Sheringham and Mundesley which are a little further away?
Why not explore more of the county inland by foot? Norfolk Trails has a variety of walking routes throughout North Norfolk, where you can discover various landscapes of unique market towns, rich wildlife and fascinating heritage. There truly is something for everyone.
If you prefer staying a little closer to home while you’re staying at Forest Park why not walk through the woodlands on our footpath to our sister hotel, Northrepps Cottage Country Hotel. Here you can stop off and enjoy an afternoon tea on the lawn or an evening meal, all made with locally sourced food, such as Cromer Sea bass.
Remember you have North Norfolk at your feet!
