Good news – Britons are increasingly opting to stay in the UK when it comes to family breaks, with camping a popular choice amongst families.
A recent UK study has found that children who go camping at least once year go on to do better at school, are healthier and happier, with a staggering 98% of parents saying camping makes their children appreciate and connect with nature.
With technology adapting over the years, a number of parents believe that escaping this technology (laptops, tablets, mobiles etc.) is a huge benefit to camping.
Not only does it benefit the children, going gadget free can help the parents have a stress free holiday giving parents an opportunity to get nostalgic and do activities they did when they were younger, such as building dens, and climbing trees and engaging with nature.
Here at Forest Park we have 100 acres of beautiful woodland and rolling countryside, where we welcome guests to pitch up in our dedicated camping and tourer fields and get away from it all.
From the 7-9th August the RSPB are encouraging families throughout the UK to sleep out overnight and spend a night under the stars – a perfect opportunity to grab your sleeping bags and dust off you tents and pitch up in the lovely surroundings of North Norfolk.
What more of an excuse do you need to take your family on an adventure this summer?
